Find and Review Businesses with Real, ID Verified Feedback
Many businesses buy fake positive reviews to boost their credibility and profits.
At the same time, we believe platforms like Trustpilot pressure businesses into paying
to protect their reputation from defamation and harassment, making it even harder for
consumers to trust what they see online.
At IDVerifiedReviews.com, we solve this problem by verifying the
identity of every reviewer—ensuring trust, transparency, and fairness for both
businesses and consumers.
How We Differ from TrustPilot
-
A Harvard Business School study found that people are
3 to 5 times more likely to leave
a review after a bad experience than a good one. Coincidentally, the CEO of Trustpilot
is a graduate of that very same school. (See image below.)
We believe Trustpilot coerces legitimate business owners into purchasing expensive
upsells to protect themselves from fake reviews. Trustpilot customers must first pay a substantial
monthly fee before being required to pay an additional fee to access their
not-so-subtly marketed third-party review uploader tool, which bypasses Trustpilot's
review fingerprinting technology.
With this commonly used feature, the more you pay Trustpilot, the more reviews you can
upload per month—without any form of email, ID, or IP address verification.
We believe this high-cost feature is one of the primary reasons
Trustpilot is such a lucrative business.

Legal action has been taken against Trustpilot in the past for allegations of unethical practices.

-
Trustpilot ranks the highest for online business reviews globally, giving them an effective monopoly
over your online reputation. According to Trustpilot, they are well aware that 89% of online users
rely on online reviews to determine a company’s legitimacy. In fact, they published
their own study here
outlining their deep understanding of their influence.
-
Trustpilot has a licensing agreement with Google that allows Trustpilot reviews to appear prominently
in Google search results. While we don't have access to the exact agreement, we believe this arrangement
may give Trustpilot an even greater advantage in monopolizing the reputation of your business.
-
We have observed that Trustpilot gives unverified negative reviews higher precedence and visibility
for longer periods. Additionally, Trustpilot limits the number of fake reviews a legitimate third-party
user can report to just one, even when a business has been clearly defamed or review-bombed.
-
Their rating system sometimes relies on unclear criteria that can distort overall trust scores.
Furthermore, if a negative review is identified as fake and then removed, your average review score
is likely to remain lower than if you had never received the negative review in the first place.
This is a highly unethical and deceptive practice.
-
We believe that as a publicly traded, multi-billion-dollar company, Trustpilot has clear financial
incentives to favor paying members, making it difficult for small businesses to remove reviews from
users who have never actually interacted with them. Clear cases of doxxing, harassment, and impersonation
are often ignored by Trustpilot unless you are a paying member with an assigned account representative
who you can email directly.

In addition to launching this website, we are preparing to launch a sister website called
TrustPilotClassAction.com. Sign-ups will hopefully be available by mid-2025 as we
prepare our case. Check back if you would like to participate.
IDVerifiedReviews is different. Every reviewer must provide a valid identification
before leaving a review—eliminating fake, malicious, or spammy comments. We believe real experiences
matter, and we’re here to protect both consumers and businesses with genuine, verifiable reviews.
